When you enjoy a Balsamic Vinegar Truffle or a Smooth Caramel from Life’s So Sweet Chocolates, you are enjoying more than a decadent indulgence. You are sharing in the passions that make Life’s So Sweet Chocolates unique as well as socially responsible.
A confection is only as good as the ingredients it is made of. In our case we use real chocolate (fair trade certified cocoa), fresh cream, local honey, local berries and any other ingredients that we can source in an economical and socially responsible way. We work with our suppliers to ensure that issues of fair pricing, sustainable farming practices and child labor are properly addressed. If these things do not meet our standards, we don’t use or sell that product.
As an active member of Retail Confectioners International, Life’s So Sweet Chocolates is committed to hand crafting at least 60% of its chocolate confections on premises. When items cannot be hand crafted by our manufacturing team, we source these items from family owned businesses within the United States.
Respecting natural beauty not only inspires creative pursuits but responsible practices. Our packaging contains more chocolate and less waste as it is made with recyclable, bio-degradable and/or reusable materials whenever possible. We also utlize reused and refurbished display equipment sourced from other local businesses.
While working at a chocolate shop may be a dream come true for many, it is also a great deal of hard work. We can think of no better way to train the youth of today than by giving them hands on experience in our sweet job setting. In fact, we reserve a certain number of employment positions for high school, college and post graduate students and actively participate in job placement, mentoring and internship programs for teens and young adults.
